A Very Richmond Engagement Session with Nishita and Nandan

Our A Very Richmond Engagement Session with Nishita and Nandan was just… in Nishita’s words, “phenomenal”! Not only was Jayson excited to meet someone else who says “phenomenal” as well, but we were honored to have the opportunity to share in this incredible couples’ engagement.

Packing up the car and leaving the studio for a session at 6:45 AM was a little out of the ordinary for us. We’ll do anything to catch the “good light” and sometimes that means shooting in the morning, especially since Nishita and Nandan’s schedule wouldn’t allow for an evening session. Having watched the weather the night before, we knew that we’d be working around rain showers in the morning. Thankfully, the rain held off just long enough for us to get the shots we needed on the exposed part of the Richmond Canal Walk before a downpour forced us to take shelter at Crossroads Coffee in Richmond while we plotted our next move.

Looking over the results on the camera with Nishita and Nandan… they made it very obvious that we’d made the right move! So, here’s a few of our favorites from a rainy, wet, and phenomenal engagement session in Richmond!
