Drulana and Doug’s Family Portraits at Waller Mill Park in Williamsburg were so much fun! The weather and fall colors truly could not have been any better. When we started making plans for Drulana and Doug’s session, we were so excited to learn that their furry kids, Bruce and Sassy, would be joining us on the session! As many of you know, we love photographing dogs as we have two of our own.

Waller Mill Park in Williamsburg is such a great location for family portraits when animals are involved! To start, animals are actually allowed! For dog lovers, there’s even a great dog park at Waller Mill Park.

Overall, Drulana and Doug’s fall themed family portrait session at Waller Mill Park was a huge success and we’re honored to have had the opportunity to work with them!

Katherine and David’s Wren Chapel Wedding and Reception at Saudé Creek Vineyards

Katherine and David’s Wren Chapel Wedding in Williamsburg and Reception at Saudé Creek Vineyards in New Kent.

In a few words, Katherine and David’s wedding day was great; one you could attend over and over again and always have a great time. Even though we hadn’t personally met Katherine and David before their wedding day, a growing trend with our couples, we felt as though they were the perfect fit for our photography style and quickly established a rapport with them.

We always enjoy working in The Wren Chapel on the Historic College of William and Many Campus. It’s always somewhat of a homecoming for us as it’s where we photographed our first big wedding! The Reception at Saudé Creek Vineyards in New Kent was a new venue for us; though, it also felt like home as Jayson’s parents once owned a river house no more than a mile away from the grounds at Saude Creek.

It was truly a great day and we’re honored to have been a part of Katherine and David’s wedding!

Anna’s bridal portraits at the Vintager Inn in New Kent

The Vintager Inn in New Kent may be new to the Virginia wedding scene, but in less than a year, it’s new owner, Ken Fisher, has transformed the property into one of the area’s premiere wedding venues. Engaged couples looking to avoid boring and stale wedding spaces are finding the Vintager Inn offers a fresh, eclectic mix of VA wine country, weathered barns, antiques, burlap, and the hospitality Southern weddings are known for!

As an environmental scientist, the re-purposed antique wood and fixtures that adorn every nook and cranny of the Vintager’s main guesthouse and barns became an expression of Anna’s personality and the perfect backdrop for her bridal portraits. As a wedding photographer based in New Kent, it’s always nice to work locally and we’re honored to have had the opportunity to work at such a unique and beautiful venue.

As sunset approached, we made the short drive to Anna’s family farm on the Pamunkey River in New Kent to finish out the evening. God put on an incredible show for us while Anna modeled her wedding dress on the same dock she played on as a kid for so many years.
